Charlene McKenna announces her engagement to boyfriend Adam Rothenberg on holiday in New York

Actress Charlene McKenna has announced her engagement to her boyfriend and fellow actor Adam Rothenberg.

The former RAW star revealed the news on Instagram, posting a photo of herself sporting a diamond ring along with her new fiancé.

Posting a selfie from Manhattan, New York, the US-based Irish actress wrote: “Sure G’wan...” along with a ring emoji.

Monaghan-born Charlene met her hubby-to-be Rothenberg in 2016 while she was playing Rose Erskine in BBC drama Ripper Street.

The 43-year-old American actor is best known for his role as Captain Homer Jackson in the BBC One drama.

It was recently revealed that McKenna will join Brian Gleeson and Emmet J Scanlan to star opposite Cillian Murphy and the rest of the Irish contingent in the eagerly-awaited fifth season of crime-drama Peaky Blinders.
