Charity shop in Fauldhouse thanked for their benevolent work throughout the year

Two local men handed in food hampers to a local charity shop recently.

Colin Martin and Wull Mullen, from Fauldhouse, run their own charity, Sports and Well-Being For All Trust, in the area but they wanted to help out a local cause at the festive season.

Gerry Gallagher runs the Kids in Needs shop in Fauldhouse and Colin and Wull decided Gerry was just the man to get food hampers out to local families.

Wull explained: “Gerry is such a great guy and he gets absolutely no credit for what he does.

“His wee charity shop in Fauldhouse is open all year round and he is constantly helping people - not just at Christmas.

“We wanted to do our own wee bit to show our appreciation.”

Kids in Need works on a donation basis and relies on help from the public.

They offer their support to everyone within the community when possible and are always on the look out for donations.

Gerry said: “There's one thing in my book and that’s never say no to anyone who reaches out to you.

“If you have any unwanted or unused gifts that would suit us, then please consider handing it into us.”

The charitable duo, Colin and Wull, run sessions for underprivileged children and young people throughout the West Lothian region.

The Kids in Need shop is located at 1 Blackfaulds Place, Fauldhouse EH47 9AS.
