A 78-year-old fundraising hero has been honoured for completing yet another charity challenge.

He has done this by walking, swimming and even abseilling from the Forth Road Bridge.
Dr Claire Armstrong, chief executive officer of the The Royal British Legion Scotland congratulated John. She said: “Fundraising is a vital part of our income and helps us sustain our service delivery and support.
“We are very excited to launch this special fundraising coin for our Centenary year. We have many fantastic fundraisers across our organisation and this is a great way to say thank you for all their work.
“John has us off to a tremendous start and should be highly commended for his efforts. I hope readers will be inspired by his story and also get involved.”
