BAGS of unwanted clothing, furniture and household items have been dumped and disrupted at charity bins behind Wallsend Village.
Wallsend MP Sonia Hornery said the bags and items had been dumped outside the bins and the area trashed on Tuesday night.
She said the matter had been reported to Newcastle City Police District and she hoped CCTV would identify the "vandals".
"It's just a big ugly mess," she said.
"It was lovely, neat and tidy, so it's a real pity.
"It makes me feel really upset because we made a real effort to make it look really nice for everyone and a few people come along and spoil it for everybody else.
"It's very disturbing for the community as well."
Ms Hornery said those who left the bags and items outside the bins should "hang your head in shame", saying the site was not a dumping ground.
"Most of the charity shops in Wallsend - and we have five - are open, have reopened, so it's just a matter of waiting to office hours or getting someone to take the stuff down," she said.
"But to be honest most of the stuff is not the kind of stuff they'd want in their charity because it's just rubbish.
"There's random furniture, really old clothes, clothes that just need to become rags, but mostly just broken down furniture."
The Newcastle Herald reported in January 2019 piles of garments had been left strewn in front of charity bins at Wallsend and were damaged by rain.
Many charities advise donors not to leave clothing and items outside full bins, but to return after the bins have been emptied, or donate at shopfronts.
