Charities can collect FREE turkeys from Morrisons today before they close

Morrisons has urged those from charities and good causes to head to their stores before they close today.

They're spreading festive cheer by handing out free Christmas Turkeys on a first come, first served basis.

However, the supermarket has warned that those hoping to get their hands on one must show proof of which charity they represent.

In a post on their official Twitter account, they said: "PLEASE SHARE From 4pm until our stores close at 6pm charities and good causes can have a Christmas Turkey on us.

"Please go to customer services, with this post & some proof of where you're from."

Adding: "First come, first served."

There will be a maximum of four turkeys per store across the country, which will close at 6pm on Christmas Eve.

Social media users have flooded the post with comments of appreciation.

With one user posting: "Excellent, big up Morrisons" while another said: "Good idea Morrisons, great for charities like Shelter. Merry Christmas".

You can find your nearest Morrisons by using their store finder here.

Merry Christmas!
