Charges laid after female motorcyclist dies in Pacific Highway crash

A WOMAN has had her licence suspended and will face court n November after a motorcyclist died in the wake of a Wyong crash.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Amy Close and the Pacific Highway about 10am Monday after a motorcycle and Toyota Corolla collided.

The female motorcyclist, 52, was treated at the scene but died a short time later.

The car's driver, 69, was taken to Wyong Hospital suffering minor injuries.

She also underwent mandatory testing.

Crash investigators and police from Tuggerah Lakes began investigating the circumstances of the fatal crash.

On Wednesday afternoon those inquiries led them to arrest the 69-year-old woman, who was taken to Wyong police station.

The Tuggerawang woman was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death - manner dangerous, negligent driving occasioning death, and failing to give way at traffic lights.

The 69-year-old is due to appear at Wyong Local Court on November 4.
