Charges after man pinned in Sydney crash

A Sydney man has been critically injured when pinned between the back of his car and a four-wheel drive that crashed into him.

The 30-year-old had been standing at the back of his car on a main road in Gladesville when struck by the second vehicle about 10.30pm on Thursday.

Fire and Rescue NSW freed him, before he was taken in a critical condition to hospital with serious leg and internal injuries, police said on Friday.

The driver of the other car, a 25-year-old man, was uninjured.

He was charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and a back-up offence of negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.

His licence was also suspended.

He was granted bail ahead of an appearance at Hornsby Local Court on December 1.
