Chargers TE Sean Culkin suffered torn Achilles in Week 4 victory over Dolphins

The injuries keep on piling up for the Chargers. Tight end Sean Culkin is the latest to be hit with a severe injury after suffering a torn Achilles in the Week 4 victory over the Dolphins.

The injury occurred early in the fourth quarter. Culkin made the 12-yard reception, but he went down on his right foot. From Culkin’s facial expression, you could tell that he knew it wasn’t good.

The loss of Culkin is not a good thing by any means, but it only belittles a position that entered today’s game without Hunter Henry and Virgil Green.

Lance Kendricks is the only healthy tight end on the roster. Henry has about 2-3 weeks until he comes back and it’s uncertain when Green will return to the playing field.

Look for Los Angeles to make another acquisition in the coming week, especially if Green isn’t going to be able to play next Sunday against the Broncos.
