In most mock drafts for the Chargers you’ll see defensive and offensive lineman. There’s certainly a possibility for it. There’s a possibility of anything. We just posted a mock that had the Chargers taking a quarterback.
This year, it feels linebacker. From injuries, to how the team went out. So in this USA TODAY mock draft, that’s the direction the Chargers went. They may have fell into this years Derwin James of the draft. An obvious great player that is being criticized for things out of his control. Here’s what was said about Bush:
General manager Tom Telesco said linebacker was the one position Los Angeles needs to “focus pretty heavily on in the offseason.” Despite having a build more befitting of a safety (5-11, 222 pounds), Bush can still fire past blockers with his quickness and stick with running backs and tight ends downfield.
I watched Bush the other day. He’s very good. Smart football player that just happens to be able to fly around at a speed different from everyone else. Watch:
That is the type of player you want. That was in just three quarters above. Bush was everywhere. That was the case for the majority of games he played in. If he’s on the board, you have to imagine he’d be tough for Tom Telesco to pass up.
