One of the early over/under totals for 2019 season wins is now out, and the Chargers are near the top of the list in projected wins.
CG Technology released its preliminary win totals for all 32 NFL teams on Sunday, setting Los Angeles up right around the range that they should be in, given their success from the 2018 season.
L.A. sits at 10 wins on the early projection. That marks the second-highest in the AFC West, right behind the Chiefs (10.5) and the third-highest among any AFC team.
The Bolts won 12 games last season and earned the top Wild Card spot. Around this time last year, one sportsbook set the Chargers’ over/under total at 9.5 wins, which they surpassed.
They’ve improved their record in each of the last three years, going from 5-11 in 2016 to 9-7 in 2017 to 12-4 last season.
If the team dominates the upcoming draft and brings in top-tier talent to fill in the gaps on the roster, they could possibly be eyeing the over 13-game win mark and a spot for the AFC West crown with Kansas City.
