Former Green Bay Packers punter JK Scott is heading to Los Angeles to play for the Chargers. The team announced the signing of Scott on Monday.
Scott, a fifth-round draft pick in 2018, was the Packers punter for three seasons (2018-2020). He punted 194 times, averaging 44.5 per punt, over 48 games while in Green Bay.
Scott played in one game for the Jacksonville Jaguars late last season.
The Packers moved on at punter after trading for Corey Bojorquez during training camp last August. The team has since replaced Bojorquez with former Chicago Bears punter Pat O’Donnell, who signed last week.
The Packers used the 172nd overall pick on Scott in 2018. Despite being a high draft pick at punter, he failed to fix the position or offer a long-term option in Green Bay. The Packers are going on their third punter in three seasons in 2022.
