The Chargers selected former Houston linebacker Emeke Egbule with the No. 200 overall selection of the 2019 NFL draft.
Egbule recorded 69 tackles, 5.5 tackles for losses, two sacks, two interceptions, four fumble recoveries, five passes defensed and two forced fumbles during his final season. As a junior, he finished with 62 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and six passes defensed.
Egbule has the classic linebacker frame at 6-foot-2 and 245 pounds. He showed an NFL skillset by playing the run, dropping into coverage and rushing the passer during his time as a Cougar.
