Chargers owner Dean Spanos furiously denied the recent London rumors

By most accounts, the Chargers’ move to Los Angeles has been an embarrassing failure. The team moved from its longtime home in San Diego to play at the 27,000-seat Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif., which has basically served as an intimate destination venue for visiting fans.

With the Chargers set to move to the massive SoFi Stadium next season, a report from The Athletic had the league anxious about the Chargers’ viability in Los Angeles. According to the report, the Chargers were discussed as a potential full-time London team.

But if you take Chargers owner Dean Spanos at his word (good luck with that), he’s not open to a London move at all. Spanos told reporters on Tuesday when questioned about the London reports (Warning: Plenty of NSFW language)

The Chargers followed up Spanos’ quote with a clip from The Wolf of Wall Street just to emphasize that the Chargers were staying in Los Angeles.

The stadium full of Packers fans will be thrilled with that news, Chargers.
