Chargers open up as 3.5-point underdogs vs. Packers

The Los Angeles Chargers (3-5) have opened as 3.5-point underdogs against the Green Bay Packers in Week 9 of the 2019 regular season, according to BetMGM.

The Chargers snapped their three-game losing streak last Sunday to the Bears in a nail biting fashion when kicker Eddy Pineiro missed the game-winning field goal from 41 yards out.

It was good that they won to keep their playoff hopes alive, but the performance wasn’t good enough if they wish to beat a team like the Packers.

Green Bay stayed red hot after taking care of business against the Kansas City Chiefs, 34-27. The game was back and forth for the most part, but ultimately, quarterback Aaron Rodgers and company was too much to overcome.

The last time that the Chargers and Packers met was in 2015. It was a close battle played in Green Bay, and it was a career day for quarterback Philip Rivers, but the Packers ended up coming out on top by the score of 27-20.

Sunday’s game will begin at 1:25 p.m. PT and will be televised on CBS.
