Chargers open as 6.5-point home favorites vs. Broncos

The Los Angeles Chargers (2-2) are looking to keep building momentum after defeating the Miami Dolphins (0-4) in Week 4.

Going into this weekend’s contest, the Chargers are 6.5-point favorites over the Denver Broncos (0-4) in the first division matchup of the year, per BetMGM.

The Bolts took care of business, snapping their eight-game losing streak in games played at Hard Rock Stadium. It was a slow start for quarterback Philip Rivers, but after some second-half adjustments, they ran away with it with ease, winning by the score of 30-10.

Meanwhile, the Broncos lost to the Jaguars, 26-24. Denver was holding their own against Jacksonville, but quarterback Gardner Minshew led the Jags to a game-winning drive as kicker Josh Lambo made the field goal to put them on top as time expired.

The last time the Chargers and Broncos met was in December at Empower Field at Mile High. Los Angeles came out victorious, but a month before that, Denver won in Dignity Health Sports Park on a game-winning field goal.

Sunday’s matchup will begin at 1:05 p.m. PT and will be televised on CBS.
