Chargers’ Mike Pouncey added to injury report ahead of matchup vs. Texans

Going into Wednesday’s practice, it was the healthiest that the Chargers had been, with only two players that did not participate.

Thursday’s injury report brought a new player to the list.

Center Mike Pouncey (shoulder) did not practice today. The severity of the injury is undisclosed, but it’s never promising to have a player added to report, especially when it’s one of Los Angeles’ key members.

Pouncey’s injury is definitely concerning knowing that the team has already lost a handful of notable players within the past month and he is indeed an important member on the offensive line.

If Pouncey isn’t healthy by Sunday and isn’t able to play, we could see L.A. move Dan Feeney inside to center and Forrest Lamp get the start at left guard.

Kicker Michael Badgley (groin) was a full participant. All signs are pointing to him resuming his normal kicking duties, but if he can’t go, Ty Long will remain as the kicker and punter.

Wide receiver Keenan Allen (knee) was a limited participant again. Allen is likely dealing with some soreness in his knee and the coaching staff is just giving him the extra rest to ensure he’s ready to go this weekend.
