Chargers make roster moves, add 3 to practice squad

The Chargers made a few changes to their practice squad on Wednesday.

Los Angeles released linebacker Curtis Akins and cornerback Kemon Hall. Wide receiver Artavis Scott was designated practice squad injured with an unspecified injury.

To fill their spots, the Bolts signed cornerback Tevaughn Campbell, wide receiver Anthony Johnson and tight end Stephen Anderson, the team announced.

After spending four seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL), Campbell signed with the Jets in January. He appeared in four preseason games, where he posted nine tackles (five solo) and three passes defensed.

After posting 2,367 yards, 25 touchdowns on 133 receptions in two seasons with the University at Buffalo, Johnson signed with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent. He played in four games this preseason, tallying five catches for 55 yards.

Anderson entered the league with the Texans as an undrafted agent free agent in 2016. He appeared in 28 games through two seasons with Houston, posting 36 receptions for 435 yards and two touchdowns. Anderson went on to sign with the Patriots’ practice squad last September. He played in three games this preseason, catching only one pass for three yards.
