The Los Angeles Chargers (1-0) are 2.5-point favorites over the Detroit Lions (0-0-1) heading into Week 2 of the regular season, per BetMGM.
The Bolts are coming off an overtime victory over the Colts on Sunday, 30-24. The team wasn’t expecting it to come down to the wire after leading 24-6 at one point, but a win is a win.
The Lions were in a similar situation, dueling with their opponent, the Arizona Cardinals, in overtime. The only difference is that Detroit and Arizona ultimately ended in a tie, 27-27.
Entering Week 2, L.A. is looking to stay undefeated. Meanwhile, the Lions are looking to avoid an 0-1-1 record, as they’re eager to stay competitive in the NFC North.
The last time the two teams met was in 2015. The game was played in San Diego, and the Chargers were able to squeak out a victory in a close matchup by the score of 33-28.
Sunday’s contest between Los Angeles and Detroit will begin at 10:00 a.m. PT and will be televised on CBS.
