Chargers’ Keenan Allen throws shade at Broncos’ Chris Harris Jr.

When the Chargers lost to the Broncos last season, wide receiver Keenan Allen didn’t take it lightly. “They suck,” Allen said after Denver’s Week 11 victory.

Los Angeles fell victim at home to the Broncos again last Sunday, and Allen had some words. This time they weren’t directed at the entire team, but more so at one player: cornerback Chris Harris Jr.

Allen’s comment came on one of Harris’ fan accounts on Instagram, which posted a photo of his tweet a day after the game. He was tagged in the post, so Allen felt like it was only right to stand up for himself.

Allen was held to four catches and 18 yards on Sunday. There’s no denying that Harris did an excellent job in coverage, but there were still some missed opportunities where quarterback Philip Rivers didn’t see him open.

The bottom line is that Allen will always have an extra competitive mindset when facing a division rival. There’s no doubt he will be looking to bounce back when the two teams meet again in Week 13.
