No other players got more attention than Chargers defensive end Joey Bosa and his brother, 49ers’ Nick Bosa on Sunday after their dominant performances.
The two terrorized opposing backfields and as a result, they made history. Joey and Nick became the first pair of brothers to each record multiple sacks in the same NFL week since 1985.
Joey had seven total tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks in Los Angeles’ win over the Chicago Bears.
Meanwhile, back in the state of California, Nick posted four tackles and three sacks in San Francisco’s victory over the Carolina Panthers.
On the season, Joey has 42 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and seven sacks, while Nick has 20 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and seven sacks in a seven-game span.
There’s a great chance that Nick will accomplish the feat that Joey did in 2016 by being awarded the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
