Chargers injury update: 5 players did not practice on Thursday

The Los Angeles Chargers concluded their second practice of the week ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

Here is a look at the injury report on Thursday:

Defensive tackles Cortez Broughton (illness) and Brandon Mebane (knee) did not practice for the second straight day, but the good news is that Justin Jones returned to practice in a limited capacity. Mebane and Jones have missed the last two games.

After being limited on Wednesday, wide receiver Keenan Allen and offensive tackle Russell Okung were both full participants today.

Wide receiver Geremy Davis (hamstring) and safety Roderic Teamer (groin) went from being limited yesterday to not participating. If Teamer doesn’t make any progress, Jaylen Watkins would get the start at strong safety.

Kicker Michael Badgley is going to make his season debut this Sunday and running back Justin Jackson, who missed the last five games with a calf injury, is likely to play this weekend.

Linebacker Thomas Davis was given his weekly veterans day off.
