Chargers in attendance to scout Iowa vs. Northwestern

The Los Angeles Chargers were one of several teams confirmed to be in attendance for the matchup between the Iowa Hawkeyes and Northwestern Wildcats.

There are several players worthy of scouting attention in this game.

Iowa

RT Tristan Wirfs

Wirfs, the 6-foot-5 and 320 pound right tackle looks the part when you watch his film. He plays with power, balance and lower body explosion, controlling rushers in pass protection and moving bodies in the run game. He could be a strong possibility in the first round.

LT Alaric Jackson

Jackson isn’t as talented as his teammate, but he has plenty of experience. He has 28 starts into his redshirt junior campaign. Jackson is a strong and physical tackle who is an adept run blocker and has the tools to be a solid NFL tackle, but he needs to refine his pass blocking technique.

Northwestern

LB Paddy Fisher

Fisher, a 2018 first-team All-Big-Team selection, is a good athlete with very good size and speed for the position. He shows good competitive drive and toughness as he plays effectively against the run, can navigate the trash with regularity to make plays and is disciplined in zone coverage.

EDGE Joe Gaziano

Gaziano, a two-time second-team All-Big Ten selection, is an edge defender who offers good strength and edge-setting at the point of attack in the run game, as well as some pass rushing alignment upside and versatility.
