Chargers have had virtual meeting with Purdue WR Rondale Moore

The Chargers could be looking to add more talent in the wide receiver room.

According to The Draft Network’s Justin Melo, Los Angeles has met virtually with former Purdue WR Rondale Moore.

Moore caught 35 receptions for 270 receiving yards, as well as six carries for 32 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown during three starts in 2020 before opting out to prepare for the 2021 NFL draft.

He appeared in only 4 games in 2019 after suffering a season-ending knee injury.

However, during his freshman season for Purdue in 2018, Moore was among the nation’s top wideouts.

He recorded 114 receptions for 1,258 receiving yards and 12 touchdown receptions, while also amassing 213 rushing yards on 21 carries and two rushing touchdowns in 13 starts. He also had 33 kick returns for 662 total kick return yards.

Given the uncertainty surrounding Mike Williams’ future and there not being anyone that has solidified themselves as a bonafide starter aside from Keenan Allen , L.A. could be looking to get another weapon for quarterback Justin Herbert, and Moore would be a much-needed explosive element.

Despite lacking size at 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds, Moore makes up for that with explosion, speed, elusiveness and power as a runner, projecting as a multi-dimensional weapon at the next level that can run, receive and return kicks.

Moore currently projects as a second-round pick.
