Chargers get help from the Crimson Tide in latest CBS Mock Draft

Things have been pretty consistent for the Chargers and mock drafts. Defensive lineman. Offensive lineman. Sprinkle in a different position like linebacker here and there. That’s been the case for the last month or so. In the latest CBS Sports mock draft, the Chargers plucked from Alabama’s talent pool. Here’s what Pete Prisco said about the Crimson Tides Mack Wilson:

We saw their linebacker group decimated by injury last year. They need to get better all across the board at that spot and Wilson is a player who could do just that.

Wilson played 14 games this season and finished with 65 total tackles, two interceptions, five passes defended and a sack. He helped the Crimson Tide defense finish fourth in the country in points allowed per game and 10th in yards allowed per game. He will also be 21 years old on draft day.

We wrote a scouting report on Wilson 10 days ago. Wilson played eight games as a freshman and 11 games as a sophomore.
