Chargers’ Derwin James, Keenan Allen react to ‘Madden NFL 20’ ratings

EA Sports revealed their overall ratings for Madden 20 on Monday. At least two members of the Chargers are not happy with theirs for the game. Those being safety Derwin James and wide receiver Keenan Allen.

James was one of the NFL’s best rookies and overall defenders in 2018, but that fact somehow escaped the grasp of EA Sports in their player ratings with a 86 for him. He ranked No. 9 out of all Bolts.

The former Florida State product finished last season with an 87 overall rating but was docked down one point within a six-month span somehow.

The one notable takeaway from his rating is that his tackling is a 77. James was an absolute thumper and displayed great body control and strength to bring players down with .

James went to social media to voice displeasure for his rating:

A couple hours later, Allen found out what his rating (89) was and wasn’t too thrilled, either.

Allen, one of the league’s best route runners felt like his route running ratings were way too low. He then wasn’t happy at all about his strength rating (69), stating that the game creators feel like he is a little boy.
