Chargers announce jersey number changes for 2019

Quarterback Tyrod Taylor and linebacker Thomas Davis found a new home with the Chargers in free agency.

Both players were among the plethora of team number changes when they were released on Friday evening.

Taylor will wear No. 5, while Davis will support No. 58. Both of these numbers are the same from their previous teams.

Some returning players have switched numbers, too.

The most notable include defensive end Joey Bosa who will wear No. 97, which is the number he rocked at Ohio State.

Running back Melvin Gordon is going back to his college roots, too. Gordon will now wear No. 25, which is the same he wore at the University of Wisconsin.
