Chargers agree to 2-year extension with LB Denzel Perryman

The Chargers are taking care of their own. At least for now. Friday afternoon, the team agreed to terms on a 2-year extension with LB Denzel Perryman.

The money on this deal will be interesting. The most games the hard hitting linebacker has played in a season is 14. That was his rookie season. Since then Perryman has played 12, seven, and nine games respectively.

When he’s on the field, he’s a player. Perryman sets the tone for the run defense. There’s evidence how much he means to the team when he is on and off the field.

That seemed to be the case for 2018, as well. They are just a better team with Perryman on the field. That’s the issue, though. Will Perryman be able to stay on the field?

Think it’s a safe bet that this contract will have heavy incentives. We will update you once the contract details surface.
