These were the shocking late night and early morning scenes on a north Dublin street which saw one person arrested following a huge meet-up.
As many as 50 people gathered near St Attracta Road in Cabra on Sunday night and into the early hours on Monday to be spectators as cars dangerously whizzed up and down the tiny road at speed performing handbrake turns at each end.
But the situation soon started to turn violent among the young crowd as Gardai were called to deal with the large incident which saw one man arrested following the ordeal.
Footage obtained by Dublin Live shows several people standing in close proximity to each other with no consideration for social distancing while watching the fast cars bombing up and down the road.
The video then shows throngs of Gardai swarming the scene as they try to disperse the crowd and put an end to the racing.
As many as five Gardai can be seen leading one person into the back of a squad van and shutting the doors on them.
It is not known if the person being escorted into the van is the same man in his 30s who was confirmed to have been arrested by Gardai at the scene and was taken to Blanchardstown Garda Station.
Several of the crowd can be heard and seen challenging the officers in the video also which is met by shouts of "get back" and "shut up" from Gardai.
A Garda spokeswoman confirmed the incident to Dublin Live and said investigations were ongoing.
She said: "We attended the scene of a public order incident which occurred in St Attracta Rd, Cabra, Dublin on the 31 August at approximately 12:30am.
She added: "One male in his 30s was arrested and was taken to Blanchardstown Garda Station."
