A police chase caused chaos in a Leeds street with drivers unable to get past emergency vehicles as the police helicopter circled overhead.
On Monday (May 23) at around 9pm, two police vehicles and several undercover cars were seen in a chase along Amberley Road in Wortley. An eye witness said there was a car chase from its junction with Tong Road heading down to Oldfield Lane.
The witness, who lives in Oldfield Road, stepped outside when she heard the sirens and saw cars tearing down the road. She said there were police waiting in vehicles at the junction with Oldfield Lane to 'cut [off] a chase'.

A video shared on social media shows a police officer chasing a man down Tong Road, while another resident said they heard the sound of a major crash.
They said: "There were numerous marked and unmarked police vehicles in the area surrounding the Oldfield Lane and Amberley Road junction. They were also at the car park for Asda.
"A police dog vehicle appeared to head to track someone who must have left the scene." A police helicopter was also spotted circling the area.
The incident disrupted traffic and with cars forced to turn around in the middle of Oldfield Road, with drivers unable to get past the police cars blocking the junction. A number of residents came out of their homes to see what was happening.
