Chaos erupted at the opening of Timothée Chalamet’s Marty Supreme pop-up store, after groups of men in tracksuits were seen allegedly pushing metal crowd-control barriers to the ground in a scramble for limited-edition merchandise.
Footage published online shows several young men pressing against the railings as they waited in line, overwhelming security staff.
The barriers eventually collapsed as guards struggled to regain control.

The temporary shop, located at 1 Kemble Street near Holborn station, is one of several pop-up locations launching in London, Los Angeles and New York ahead of the release of Chalamet’s upcoming film Marty Supreme.
Some customers were reported to have queued outside the London pop-up for up to 17 hours.
However, commenters responding to the footage suggested that not everyone in line was a devoted Chalamet fan, with many believed to be attempting to secure the limited-edition items for resale.
One person wrote on X: “there shoulda been a password like name a song from the wonka soundtrack.”
Another wrote: “they gotta let us organise these events and we will put everyone in place quick, a quiz at every pop up.”
A Chalamet fan lamented: “They took all the jackets to sell them on ebay. They ran out the second I got there.”
Another added: “This is not the demographic I expected.”
GQ magazine reported that police attended the opening amid claims from an attendee of “lots of fights” and “too many people.”
