Chantelle Connelly gives birth but doesn't know after emergency c-section

Chantelle Connelly has given birth to a baby boy in an emergency c-section - but doesn't know it yet because she's still unconscious.

The former Geordie Shore star's mum Allison announced the news on Instagram at 8am on Tuesday, telling fans her daughter had had to be "put to sleep".

"My beautiful grandson born 6 minutes past 6. Weighs 6lb 6oz," she wrote.

"Chantelle doesn't know he's here yet had an emergency section she is still in theatre.

"They had to put her to sleep. She will wake up to this beautiful little bundle."

Back in September Chantelle, 29, revealed she was pregnant after a whirlwind romance with boyfriend Lee Blackburn.

However, she was mercilessly trolled a month later when cruel commenters accused her of lying about her pregnancy because of her toned figure.

Posing in a pair of tracksuit bottoms with her abs on display, she wrote "Roll on my baby bod, I'm too excited."

And one hater nastily replied, "She ain't pregnant, it's sick how people can like about s*** like this."

Chantelle silenced the gossip in December when she shared a baby scan photo she'd had taken at a private clinic just after Christmas.

Captioning her exciting scan image with a blue heart emoji, Chantelle also wrote: "My beautiful baby boy."
