Chantelle Atkins' domestic abuse ordeal exposed on EastEnders after hospital dash?

EastEnders' Gray Atkins could be exposed next week, amid the BBC soap's harrowing domestic abuse storyline.

Gray has been violently assaulting his wife Chantelle for months on the show, while the abuse has continued for much longer off screen.

Chantelle recently confirmed Gray had said moving to Walford would help him change, but she was soon left devastated when he continued to harm her.

In a recent episode viewers were left struggling to watch as Gray punched his wife, as well as pinning her up against a wall and dragging her around, leading to her announcing her pregnancy in fear he would hurt their baby.

Next week on the BBC soap, Gray tries to prove to Chantelle that he can change.

He tells her he's going to see a therapist about his anger, after she stuck by him.

But when Chantelle cuts her hand, Gray insists they go to A&E to get her checked over.

It's while they are there that Chantelle's ordeal comes to light, when a nurse spots her bruises.

Will Chantelle open up to the nurse or even her family, and will Gray's abuse be revealed?

Later on in the week, Chantelle does her best to support her husband ahead of his first therapy appointment.

As the pair talk, he promises never to hurt Chantelle ever again.

But amid fears from worried fans he may go too far, will he stick to his word?

Gray also clashes with father-in-law Mitch yet again over his son Keegan, with the family drama far from over.

EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
