Two former Channel Seven television personalities facing a number of serious charges have now been identified, after a previous non-publication order was lifted during court proceedings on Wednesday.
Claudean Uamaki-Mu, who competed on the 2023 season of My Kitchen Rules, was charged back in August 2023 over allegations including indecent treatment of children under 16, rape, sexual assault and torture, which date back to 2005.
Numerous charges — including torture charges — have since been dropped.
On Wednesday, Uamaki-Mu pleaded guilty in the Magistrates Court of Queensland to six counts of common assault, relating to the assault of a child.
Her partner Anthony Mu — who also couldn’t be identified due to legal reasons — faces a number of charges in the Magistrates Court of Queensland, with authorities alleging the offences took place over two decades between 2005 and 2020.
A non-publication order, which prevented the media from disclosing their identities, had been granted in October 2023 after she was found to be at risk of harming herself, should she be identified.

A dozen charges including torture and assault occasioning actual bodily harm were thrown out earlier this year after magistrate Stuart Shearer ruled in January there was no evidence to support them, as reported by news.com.au.
Uamaki-Mu has been committed to stand trial in the District Court on 12 charges, including unlawful assault occasioning actual bodily harm, indecent treatment and rape.
