Channel 5's Heat: What it's about, cast and where you have seen them before

Danny Dyer's first big role after leaving Eastenders is airing on Channel 5 this week. Heat is a thriller set in Australia and surrounds the secrets and lies that emerge as two families come together for their annual summer holiday.

Heat unfolds against the backdrop of the looming Australian bushfire season. Actor Danny said he loved the idea of working in the sunshine after his nine years in Walford and jetted off to the other side of the world as soon as he wrapped his last scene as pub landlord Mick Carter.

He said: "I was straight in the deep end. Obviously, I wanted to work in the sunshine. I thought that would be a joyous thing in the winter."
