Channel 5 has been hit with thousands of complaints after it aired a Charlotte Crosby plastic surgery documentary.
The Geordie Shore star slammed the doc, titled Celebrities: What’s Happened to Your Face?, in a lengthy social media statement.
The documentary featured medical professionals dissecting how the reality TV star's physical appearance had changed over the years.
But Charlotte, 30, blasted the 'immoral' and 'insensitive' programme forcing Channel 5 to remove it from its streaming service and issue an apology.
In a statement, the broadcaster apologised for "any upset caused" before adding Channel 5 and the show's producers, Crackit Productions, "take duty of care very seriously".
The statement added: "While we acknowledge that the programme was Ofcom-compliant, we have taken on board Charlotte’s feedback and removed the episode from our streaming platform My5."
Ofcom has now confirmed to the Manchester Evening News that 7,082 complaints were made to the broadcasting watchdog from viewers who "objected to references to Charlotte Crosby's appearance following cosmetic surgery."

The regulator added that it is assessing the complaints but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate.
Charlotte was flooded with support on social media with her post being shared more than 7,000 times and racking up over 64,000 likes.
She later shared a tearful video thanking fans for their support but has not responded to Channel 5's statement.
