Where was Channel 5's Heat filmed?

Heat unfolds to the backdrop of the looming Australian bushfire season when two families who are long-time friends, venture to a secluded home for a summer vacation. The thriller was filmed exclusively in Victoria, Australia.

Asked how excited he was to have a TV project in sunny Australia after nine years of grey skies at Elstree, Danny Dyer said: "Well yeah, it was a job that came up towards the end of my run at EastEnders. It was a huge decision that I had made and I didn’t know if I had made the right decision, I'll be honest. It's been such a huge part of my life EastEnders – the people there and the security that it brings. Then this job came up and I thought, ‘Ok, this is the start of my new chapter.'

"But I was very nervous about it. I hadn't done any other acting jobs for nine years. I did other stuff while there, like The Wall but this is standing on my own two feet being the lead on something else. I literally wrapped on Tuesday at EastEnders in the water tank, I went home, I got my suitcase out, I packed a bag and left the next day to go to Australia. I was straight in the deep end. Obviously, I wanted to work in the sunshine. I thought that would be a joyous thing in the winter. Melbourne is a good place by the way. I don't want to knock it. It's a really vibrant city."
