Viewers of a Channel 4 dating show were left confused following the announcement that a former Liverpool star is set to join the programme - with his wife.
Jermaine Pennant and Alice Goodwin will feature on the next series of Celebs Go Dating.
The show is usually centred around a group of single celebrities joining an exclusive dating agency in a bid to find true love.
They go on a series of dates with members of the public in the hope of finding the one - which is why fans were left confused by the married couple joining the show.
In a trailer, released by Celebs Go Dating, Jermaine and Alice say they want to join the show with the hope of improving their marriage.
Jermaine said: "We've joined the agency because we want to iron out some issues in our marriage.
"We're bringing to the agency our issues of trust."
Alice added: "Communication, we need to know how to communicate a bit better I think...
"A little bit more effort. Keeping the marriage a little bit fresh I think."
Jermaine continued: "I feel Anna and Paul could help us understand each other a little bit more.
Alice said: "I think that we want to take away just being a little bit more united, a bit stronger, a bit happier and just looking forward to a future together."
Jermaine added: "And just helping us move on you know, a bit of forgiveness on the past.
"I feel we keep bringing that into, you know when we're trying to move forward, we keep dragging that with us."
The pair are no strangers to reality television, with Jermaine appearing on Celebrity Big Brother last year, and the couple featuring on The Jeremy Kyle show.
