Channel 4 has announced that the upcoming episode of The Great Celebrity Bake Off featuring Scott Mills will no longer air.
The presenter was fired from the BBC in March over “allegations about his personal conduct”, with the Metropolitan Police later revealing that Mills had been investigated in 2016 over allegations of serious sexual offences involving a teenage boy under 16.
Mills was not charged at the time after the Crown Prosecution Service found that “the evidential threshold had not been met”, however the BBC said that it terminated his contract after receiving “new information” in the weeks before his sacking.
While Mills’ firing leaves a number of his upcoming BBC projects in limbo, The Great Celebrity Bake Off was also affected – with the presenter due to compete in an upcoming episode alongside other stars.

However, Channel 4 said in a statement on Wednesday (8 April) that the episode won’t be broadcast in light of Mills’ firing.
A spokesperson for Channel 4 told The Independent: “Having carefully considered the circumstances, we’ve taken the decision not to air the final episode of the 2026 series of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer, featuring Scott Mills.
“Acknowledging the seriousness of the accusations that have been made against Scott, we don’t believe it would be appropriate to air the episode at this time. An alternative episode of Celebrity GBBO will go out in its place.”
The Great Celebrity Bake Off – which airs annually in aid of Stand Up to Cancer – has seen the likes of Mark Wright, Molly Mae Hague, Vicky Pattison, Joe Wilkinson and Babatunde Alesha compete in the series so far.
While Channel 4 had not yet revealed which stars were competing against Scott Mills in the episode, musician Rag n Bone Man, JLS’ Aston Merrygold, broadcaster Edith Bowman and comedian Jon Richardson were the only remaining members of the announced contestants that were yet to appear on the show.
It is unknown whether they will be given another opportunity to take part in the show given that their bakes from the Scott Mills episode won’t see the light of day.

Mills’ episode of Bake Off isn’t the only show to be pulled from the schedules – with the BBC also scrubbing Top of the Pops episodes hosted by Mills from its archives.
The presenter was also replaced by Strictly Come Dancing star Tyler West on Race Across the World’s companion podcast, which Mills was due to begin hosting last week.
Earlier in April, Mills released a statement confirming the historic police investigation. He wrote on Wednesday (1 April) evening: “I wish to thank from the bottom of my heart all those who have reached out to me with kindness, my former colleagues, and my beloved listeners, who I greatly miss.”
