Channel 4’s The Dog House is on the hunt for people looking to rescue a dog to be participants on its new series.
The team is heading back to Wood Green, The Animals Charity, in Cambridgeshire, where the specialist rescue centre staff will work with the adopters and dogs to find a perfect match.
The Dog House follows this process by getting to know the characters and histories of the rescue dogs, an array of people from different walks of life and watching the beginnings of brand-new relationships between them.
Previous series have found people to be looking for a new dog for reasons of loneliness, an extra companion for a child, to encourage exercise and to live in the moment more to name a few.
All Wood Green’s dogs arrive because someone could no longer look after them, or because they were found abandoned or stray.
Due to the difficult starts to life many of these dogs have, the staff work hard to find the right homes based on each dog’s individual needs.
A spokesperson for production company Five Mile Films said: “Here at Five Mile Films, we're excited to be making another series of Channel 4’s The Dog House with Wood Green, The Animals Charity.
“Once again, we’ll be following the expert team of dog-matchers, meeting this year’s rescue dogs, and of course, getting to know the people who are longing to give one of them a home.
“We're looking for people who are considering taking the amazing step of welcoming a rescue dog into their lives.
