It has been reported that Channel 4's Great British Bake Off was hit with more than 100 complaints following one bakers exit.
The Mirror reports that Ofcom received 115 complaints from upset fans following Jurgen's departure in semi-final week (November 16).
German baker Jurgen, 56, was in touching distance from the final when he was sent home, despite being named star baker three times during the series.
He won fans over with his intricate baking skills but Jurgen was the only baker not to receive a 'Hollywood handshake' during the semi-final patisserie-themed episode.
Complaints received by the media regulator are examined before a decision is made on whether or not to take action.
During Tuesday (November 23) night's final, Chigs, Crystelle and Giuseppe competed against each other to win the 2021 title.
Giuseppe was eventually crowned The Great British Bake Off 2021 winner, despite experiences issues with his oven during the final challenge.
The final saw the three remaining bakers create a signature carrot cake, Belgian buns in the technical challenge and their showstopper had to have a Mad Hatter's Tea Party theme.
Taking to Twitter after the announcement of his win Giuseppe posted: "I could have never gone through this exhilarating, but also draining adventure without the support of my wife, my fellow bakers and the constant support of the production team!
"Thank you all out there, for reaching out and showering me with love! I will be forever grateful! #GBBO"
