While presenting a report from the Greek island of Lesbos, Channel 4 presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy has been filmed helping refugees climb ashore from a rubber dinghy.
As he detailed the journey that the refugees behind him had made from the Middle East, several of the travellers, both young and old needed his help.
Watch the Channel 4 presenter lend a hand to refugees here.
The boat had travelled six kilometres from the Turkish coast to Lesbos, in a dinghy overloaded with refugees.
Tired after their long journey, the task of climbing ashore over slippery rocks was another challenge for the children and elderly among the group.
The Channel 4 presenter interrupted filming to help those struggling, a decision that people lauded on Twitter, as well as his coverage of the current crisis.
Krishnan Guru Murthy's work on the Syria crisis has been truly outstanding, quality news reader/ journalist. Inspiration.
