As many shows do, Married at First Sight originally proved a big hit overseas but has regularly attracted millions of viewers to its UK episodes on Channel 4, where it has aired since 2015.
In the show six singles marry complete strangers. Using 'scientific matchmaking methods', couples are matched by specialists, who have their say on who should be paired with who.
So yes, you'll need to be happy with meeting your brand new spouse just minutes before you say 'I do'.
Camera crews will then document your relationship – including your wedding day, honeymoon and the first few weeks of married life.
