Channel 4 launches show snooping inside celebs homes with dog cameras

People will get a unique view inside the homes of celebrities thanks to a new show being launched by Channel 4 - using cameras attached to dogs.

The broadcaster is launching a new 'Inside The Keyhole' style show where people will guess whose house they are looking around based on images captured on a camera attached to pet dogs.

Thee show, called Snoop Dogs was announced at the Edinburgh Television Festival and will be made by Sony's Stellify.

Jim Waterson of The Guardian said: “Channel 4’s [Director of Programmes] Ian Katz has announced a show called Snoop Dogs where you get a tour around a celebrity’s home and have to guess who it is.

“The twist is that producers can’t get access to the homes due to social distancing, so they’re strapping the cameras to the celebrity’s pets.”

The programme allows filming to go ahead despite social distancing and could be broadcast in the near future.

It will be a four-part show.

Sean Doyle, deputy head of features and formats at Channel 4, said: "I didn’t want lockdown to stifle creative conversations and Snoop Dogs is a perfect example of a reactive and outside of the box commission,” said

“We’ve come up a wonderfully ridiculous spin on filming in lockdown that only Channel 4 could get away with. We hope families enjoy playing along whilst getting a healthy dose of doggy mischief and celebrities’ lush properties and home interiors.”

Speaking today Katz said they were looking for new reality TV shows - but said Big Brother would not be making a comeback to Channel 4.
