Channel 4 is looking for dog adopters in Wales for new series of The Dog House

Channel 4 is on the lookout for prospective dog adopters in Wales to appear in a new series The Dog House.

Anyone thinking of getting a new dog is encouraged to apply to appear, where experts will match you with your dream mutt.

The popular show documents the process of adopting a rescue dog, getting to know the individual personalities and histories of the dogs and the motivations behind the adopters.

It takes someone special to rehome a rescue dog as many of them have had difficult starts and offering a loving home can turn their lives around.

Channel 4 are looking for people who will be happy to share personal reasons for why they want to adopt a dog. Previous series found people making the decision for reasons of loneliness, to encourage exercise, to add company for a child and to live in the moment more, to name a few.

Previously, Victoria Pendleton featured on the show where she adopted a Rhodesian Ridgeback called Leilo, who recently participated in Tails’ Bark Run .

The series, which has been running since 2019, is made with Wood Green, The Animal Charity in Cambridgeshire but is looking for participants from all walks of life.

Potential adopters can apply to the show here .
