A brand new property show is set to launch on Channel 4 next year featuring renowned property developers from Manchester. Design Your Dream has been commissioned by the network as a new interior design contest where competitors will take part in a series of challenges in a bid to win their own modern apartment.
The dream two-bedroom loft apartment that is up for grabs is inside Eyewitness Works in Sheffield, which has been designed by Manchester-based social impact developers Capital & Centric. Filming will take place this summer inside the historic Grade II listed former cutlery factory before it was transformed by the property developers into 97 loft apartments and town houses as part of a £21m restoration.
During the competitive series, budding interior designers will each be assigned an empty apartment in Eyewitness Works to showcase their talent. The hopefuls will be judged on their skill and performance in a series of design tasks within the apartment and elsewhere.

Capital & Centric are renowned for restoring mundane spaces and transforming them into modern developments, with some of their best known projects in Manchester including Crusader Mill, Phoenix and new neighbourhood Kampus.
Co-founders Tim Heatley and Adam Higgins will feature on the peak-time show produced by Remarkable TV, and it is not the first time they have appeared on our screens. Successful social impact property developer Tim Heatley starred in the BBC’s Manctopia series in 2020.

Adam Higgins said: “It’s going to be awesome to see how the designers put their creative spin on this historic space, with the winner eventually calling it home.
"Our Eyewitness Works building in Sheffield is packed full of original features and when restored it’ll be a genuine, design-led community.
Casting is currently in progress for Design Your Dream, with filming set to take place this summer. Applications are now open for budding interior designers.
How to apply for the show
Channel 4 is looking for people with a passion, experience and flat for interior design who do not own their own home to be in with the chance of winning an apartment.
Though they may be eliminated from the competition at any stage in this knockout competition, successful applicants will need to be able to commit to nine continuous weeks of filming up to 5 days each week at a location away from home.
Interested applicants can apply online here. The closing date for applications is 31st March 2022.
