Channel 4 Hunted looking for Liverpool contestants for new series

Hunted is set to return to Channel 4 later this year and producers are looking for people from Liverpool to take part.

There's £100,000 up for grabs for the fugitives who escape the hunters after going on the run.

The upcoming series will follow a number of volunteers as they try to go off grid and become a fugitive i n the UK.

Producers said: "We are looking for men and women of all ages to try and evade capture from a team of expert trackers.

"We are looking for people from a variety of backgrounds and professions who think they have what it takes to disappear in 21 century Britain.

"They could be going it alone or with friends, family or colleagues."

The closing date for applications is Sunday, February 23 and you must be 18+ in order to apply to take part in the series.

Series four of Hunted saw the fugitives set out from Liverpool, as a speed boat docked at the Pier Head and those on the run jumped out.

One person escaped down The Strand, two brothers headed to Sandhills station to get somewhere more rural - but were spotted because of their distinctive shoes .

Ex-con Nick and his friend Paul were seen getting a taste of their old lives as they tried to make their escape from Liverpool's business district with the help of an old acquaintance.

Wirral man Hamish Thoburn took on the Hunted challenge in 2016 but was captured with fellow escapee Mikaela Skinner after a pub landlord turned them in.
