Channel 4 Gogglebox under fire as segment leaves fans pleading 'stop'

Gogglebox was under fire as fans blasted a segment on tonight's episode.

The popular Channel 4 programme has become a staple of Friday night television as we watch our favourite personalities provide hilarious commentary on the week's best TV.

Viewers rejoiced tonight as fan favourites such as Lee Riley and Jenny Newby, the Sandifords and the Warner sisters once again invited us into their home.

The armchair critics delivered their verdict on a variety of shows on the latest edition such as Crufts 2022: Best in Show, This Is Going to Hurt and Formula 1: Drive to Survive.

However, viewers were unimpressed as they watched along to an edition of Haunted Hospitals. The show follows medical staff and patients as they recount their chilling encounters with paranormal activity inside hospitals.

The Goggleboxers were horrified by the chilling scenes on the episode, but fans following the programme on Twitter claimed the reality TV stars were overreacting.

Jennifer said: "Why have the producers got the Goggleboxers shouting, some have never shouted now nearly all shout, this series has over done the acting, it's spoiling the attraction to it, please stop the shouting!!!"

Mike added: "Seriously that hospital horror looked awful, how could they be frightened of that!?"

Rosie posted: "Looks a bit far fetched and not very good tbh..."

Steve commented : "Why are they even taking this tv show seriously?"

Gogglebox airs Friday at 9pm on Channel 4
