Channel 4 Gogglebox star Julie Malone makes announcement about son not on show

Fans were delighted for Julie Malone after she shared news on social media about her son Lee who has not been on the hit TV show. The Malone family are one of the most popular families on Gogglebox on Channel 4.

Talking points from last Friday's episode centred on the new ITV drama, The Thief, His Wife and The Canoe and Roar, the Apple TV show that has shocked viewers with its sex scenes. In the current series, Julie and her husband Tom are joined by their other son Shaun who has become a regular on the show.

Their daughter Vanessa has also appeared a few times. However, there is another member of the family who has never been seen on the show: Lee, their eldest son.

The Malone's other son, Tom snr, shockingly quit Gogglebox last year despite being a fan favourite due to other project offers. He has since gone to perform in E4 series, The Real Dirty Dancing.

Julie shared a video to Instagram of her new fitness regime which she started after having a few weeks off for a trip to Ireland to attend a wedding. She then contracted gastroenteritis which left her very unwell.

In the video, Julie mentions that Lee is due to get married in a few weeks. Speaking to her Instagram followers, Julie spoke about the growing number of fans on her social media page.

She said: "I'm back on it again this morning. I've had a few weeks off. I had gastroenteritis. which made me quite ill. And then I spent a week getting sorted out for Kelly and Damon's wedding, which was last weekend in Ireland, and our eldest son Lee's wedding, which is in a couple of weeks. But feeling better and I'm back on it now. Back to the 10,000 steps."
