Channel 4 Gogglebox star Ellie Warner 'keeps vigil at boyfriend Nat's bedside' after car crash

Gogglebox star Ellie Warner is reportedly keeping vigil at her boyfriend Nat Eddleston's hospital bedside after he was hit by a car. The plumber is said to have suffered a broken neck, a broken back and two collapsed lungs after the crash, which happened while Nat was on a night out in Leeds in March two weeks ago.

Hairdresser Ellie, 31, has reportedly told friends her heart has been "ripped in two", with West Yorkshire Police confirming Nat is in a "critical but stable condition". Ellie, who first appeared on the Channel 4 show in 2015 with sister Izzi, has been missing from the show for the past two weeks and a source close to the TV star said she is unlikely to return to Gogglebox anytime soon, the Mirror reports.

"Ellie has barely left Nat’s side since the accident. She has been holding his hand and willing him to get better," they told The Sun. "Her heart is totally ripped in two by all of this and she is still in a state of shock about how things have ended up. Right now all that Ellie is focusing on is making sure she is there for Nat, nothing else matters."

Ellie and Izzi are reportedly being supported by producers of the Channel 4 show, and are taking their "duty of care" seriously in the aftermath of the devastating accident. Nat was taken to hospital on March 18 after being hit by a car in the Halton area of Leeds, while he was walking home following a night out.

A family member told The Sun he had suffered a broken neck, a broken back and two collapsed lungs, and was initially placed on a life support machine when first admitted to hospital. "The pedestrian remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital and enquiries into the incident are ongoing," a statement from police read.

Following the accident last month, West Yorkshire Police appealed for witnesses as they investigated the "serious road traffic collision". "Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in the Halton area of Leeds involving a white Seat Leon and an adult male pedestrian," the statement on social media read.

"Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, which occurred on Selby Road near to The Woodman pub at around 00:10 this morning (Saturday 19th March 2022)," they added.
