Channel 4 Gogglebox's Ellie Warner makes heartfelt birthday plea after boyfriend Nat Eddleston was hit by car

Gogglebox favourite Ellie Warner has asked for donations to a brain injury charity ahead of her 32nd birthday. The Leeds native, who has appeared on the show alongside her sister, Izzi since 2015, is currently taking a break from the show after her boyfriend, Nat Eddleston, was hit by a car in March.

Nat was out with friends in Leeds on Friday, March 18, and was walking back home when he was struck by a car. He was rushed to hospital where his condition became critical yet stable after initially fighting for his life.

With Gogglebox star Ellie set to celebrate her 32nd birthday later this month, she has asked her family members, friends and fans to make a donation to Headway, a UK-based charity dedicated to helping those with brain injuries. The hairdresser posted on Facebook: "For my birthday this year, I’m asking for donations to Headway - the brain injury association.

"I’ve chosen this charity because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope that you’ll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me. Every little bit will help me reach my goal... Headway’s mission is to promote the understanding of all aspects of brain injury and to provide vital information, support and services to people with a brain injury, their families and carers."

Initially starting out with a £150 target, Ellie has already raised an astonishing amount of money for Headway - over £1,300 so far. Her post on Facebook broke her social media silence, as she had not posted since uploading a photograph of dogs Mick, Madge and Morris to Instagram on March 14.

Ellie has not explicitly posted anything about Nat as she takes some time away from the show, but fans have been sending sweet messages of support to the star since the incident. Shortly after the accident took place, it is believed that Nat was placed on life support.

Gogglebox bosses made the thoughtful decision to pay Ellie her full fee for the show, despite the fact she is currently not starring in it as she spends time coming to terms with the horrific ordeal. Nat had previously sat beside Ellie on the sofa back in 2020, as he stood in for her sister, Izzi during the pandemic.

Whilst Ellie works as a freelance hairdresser in Leeds, Izzi is a mortgage advisor, but formerly worked as a nail technician before passing her exams. Although the pair usually post often to Instagram, they are relatively quiet when it comes to their private lives, with both sisters rarely posting their other halves and, in Izzi's case, children.
